10 Weeks Old Today!

Can you believe it has been 10 weeks since our little bundle of joy arrived? How awesome. He can smile, coo, and spit up with the best of them. His 2 month pediatrician appointment went well: he received some shots, which he did not like- but he got over the pain pretty quickly. Boy he was grumpy the rest of the day, though! Also, we found out that he has finally "caught up" with other newborns in terms of size and development: he is 11 pounds, 6 ounces now, and almost 2 feet tall! Craziness. I have been nursing him so well, and the doc is proud of me.

Xander looks more like his Daddy every day too. But he has long eye lashes like Mommy. Hey, I gave birth to him, so he should have some trait from me, right??

We are getting visitors to see Xander too. Friends and family have been stopping by, and it has been so great to show Xander off. We are so proud of him. Lots of love has been in this house since Xander was born.

My family was here during the holidays, which was wonderful. My aunts got to see our little man and hold him. My Mom and aunts and I did some holiday cooking, while Michael fried the turkey- all the food was yummy!! Xander was so good while they were here. He looked like a little angel while he slept in everyone's arms. The Christmas pictures are so great; this weekend, Michael's project will be to have the updated pics up on this website for everyone to see. Michael's family was here for a few days in late-January, and we all had a great time together as well: b/c Xander was able to get out more now, we were all able to do a little shopping and we were even able to take Xander out to eat! Michael and I had our first official night time date while his family was here to keep Xander, which was nice: we saw a movie and went out to dinner- btw, Sherlock Holmes was a great movie! I love Robert Downy, Jr. While they were here, Michael's family made homemade gumbo- oh, so Cajuny delicious. We will also have the pics from Michael's family visit up this weekend, so stay tuned to the website and have fun checking out the pics!!! Our little family is getting into a routine now, so we should be able to keep up with this website a little easier now that Xander is sleeping a little longer at night time. Fingers crossed that continues...
